Rotarians Have Christmas Program

Members of the local Rotary Club were treated to one of the most enjoyable Christmas programs in years at Recreation Hall Tuesday noon as Mrs. Abel Machado and some 50 members of the high school chorus entertained with special Christmas numbers. The songs, which included several solo and quartet numbers, were selected from portions of a high school pageant "There Was One Who Gave a Lamb" which was presented to the high school student body last Friday.

Only discord in the program was the grand finale, when Mrs. Machado invited the husky-voiced Rotarians to join with the chorus in the singing of several popular Christmas carols. The men folks obviously enjoyed the privilege but from standpoint of musical excellence their renditions were exceptional for volume rather than tonal quality.

The program was arranged by program chairman Charles Kaljian.
