Rotary Forfeits Shoot To Lions
A scheduled shoot between the Lions and Rotary Clubs was won Sunday by the Lions by forfeit when the Rotary team turned out with enough men for only three shooting squads. According to the requirements of the shoot five squads of five men each were necessary to compete.
However, shooting was held between the three squads of Rotarians and the five squads of Lions. With each man shooting 50 blue rocks, the Rotary squad of C. A. Makin, Jack Pfitzer, Louie Castellucci, R. L. Puccinelli and Charles Hauschildt was tops with a 218 out of 250.
Puccinelli, with a 49 out of 50, was high shooter of the day. Jack Lopes of the Lions with 47 was second high man and James Soper of the Lions and V. H. Menefee of the Rotary were tied for third with 45 each.
High squad for the Lions with a 205 included Soper, C. R. Pryor, Carlo Colzani, Ernest Degregori and Ray McCauley.
