Santa Claus Will Be Present At Kiddies' Christmas Party Today
Ol' St. Nick, himself, assisted by members of the Lions and Rotary Clubs, will be at the Del Rio Theatre today, bringing Christmas joy to local school children at the annual Christmas Kiddies' Party.
Approximately 1300 pairs of eager little eyes are expected to view the free movie being sponsored by the Fresno Bee. There will be two showings, at 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., in order to accommodate the expected crowd of kiddies.
The morning group will consist mainly of children from the Volta and Charleston schools. School buses will be waiting outside the theatre after the show to take these children home.
The afternoon showing will be chiefly for children living in the city. At both showings, Santa Claus, assisted by Rotarians and Lions, will pass out the treats after the movies are shown.
Ed. Enos, chairman of the Rotary committee, said that although tickets have been distributed, no child of grammar school age will be denied admission because he has no ticket. Other members of the Rotary committee are Joel Whitehurst and J. J. Silva. Lions committeemen are Paul Toscano and Ernest Petrocelli.
